قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْجَسَدِ عِرْقاً يُقَالُ لَهُ الْعَشَاءُ فَإِنْ تَرَكَ الرَّجُلُ الْعَشَاءَ لَمْ يَزَلْ يَدْعُو عَلَيْهِ ذَلِكَ الْعِرْقُ إِلَى أَنْ يُصْبِحَ يَقُولُ أَجَاعَكَ اللَّهُ كَمَا أَجَعْتَنِي وَ أَظْمَأَكَ اللَّهُ كَمَا أَظْمَأْتَنِي فَلَا يَدَعَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْعَشَاءَ وَ لَوْ بِلُقْمَةٍ مِنْ خُبْزٍ أَوْ شَرْبَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin ZIyad, from one of the people of Ahvaaz, (It has been narrated) from Al-Reza<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘There are veins in the body called A’ Asha. So if the man neglects the dinner, that vein does not cease supplicating against him till the morning, saying, ‘May Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Keep you hungry as you kept me hungry, and may Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Keep you thirsty as you kept me thirsty’. Therefore, not one of you should neglect the dinner even though it may be a morsel of bread, or a drink of water’.
