John Shaqi

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ الْوُضُوءُ قَبْلَ الطَّعَامِ وَ بَعْدَهُ يَزِيدَانِ فِي الرِّزْقِ . وَ رُوِيَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قَالَ أَوَّلُهُ يَنْفِي الْفَقْرَ وَ آخِرُهُ يَنْفِي الْهَمَّ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Abu Awf Al Bajaly who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘The ablution before the meal and after it both increase in the livelihood’. And it is reported that, ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘Its first (ablution before the meal) negates the poverty, and its end (ablution after the meal) negates the worries’.
