قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) أَكْلُ الْجَوْزِ فِي شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ يُهَيِّجُ الْحَرَّ فِي الْجَوْفِ وَ يُهَيِّجُ الْقُرُوحَ عَلَى الْجَسَدِ وَ أَكْلُهُ فِي الشِّتَاءِ يُسَخِّنُ الْكُلْيَتَيْنِ وَ يَدْفَعُ الْبَرْدَ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Al Nowfaly, from Al Sakuny, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Eating the walnuts during the intense heat agitates the heat in the inside and agitates the blisters upon the body, and eating it in the winter warms the kidneys and dispels the cold’.
