قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَرْوُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قَالَ إِنَّ الْعَدَسَ بَارَكَ عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ نَبِيّاً فَقَالَ هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَمُّونَهُ عِنْدَكُمُ الْحِمِّصَ وَ نَحْنُ نُسَمِّيهِ الْعَدَسَ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from MUawiya Bin Ammar who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> that the people are reporting that the Prophet<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The Lentils, seventy Prophets<sup>as</sup> have Blessed upon it’’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It is that which is named with you as the chick-peas, and we<sup>asws</sup> called it the lentils’.
