John Shaqi

دَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَاسْتَدْعَى بِتَمْرٍ فَأَكَلْنَا ثُمَّ ازْدَدْنَا مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) إِنِّي أُحِبُّ الرَّجُلَ أَوْ قَالَ يُعْجِبُنِي الرَّجُلُ إِذَا كَانَ تَمْرِيّاً .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Abu Al Magra, from one of his companions, from Uqba Bin Bashir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘We went over to him<sup>asws</sup>, so he<sup>asws</sup> called for the dates, and we ate them. Then he<sup>asws</sup> increased it for us from it, then said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘I<sup>saww</sup> love the man’, or said: ‘I<sup>saww</sup> like the man who loves to (eat) the date’.
