John Shaqi

. عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بَقَّاحٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ الْخَيَّاطِ أَوِ الْقَمَّاطِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ مَنْ أَكَلَ رُمَّانَةً أَنَارَتْ قَلْبَهُ وَ مَنْ أَنَارَ اللَّهُ قَلْبَهُ بَعُدَ الشَّيْطَانُ عَنْهُ قُلْتُ أَيَّ الرُّمَّانِ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ فَقَالَ سُورَانِيَّكُمْ هَذَا .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ibrahim Bin Abdul Hameed, from Al Waleed Bin Sabeeh, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> – similar to it. A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Ibn Baqqah, from Salih Bin Uqba Al Khayyat, or Al Qammat, from Yazeed Bin Abdul Malik who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘The one who eats a Pomegranate illuminates his heart, and the one whose heart Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Illuminates, the Satan<sup>la</sup> would be remote from him’. I said, ‘Which Pomegranate, may I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Your <span class="iTxt">Sowraniyya</span>, this one’.
