قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) الْفُقَهَاءُ أُمَنَاءُ الرُّسُلِ مَا لَمْ يَدْخُلُوا فِي الدُّنْيَا قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَ مَا دُخُولُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا قَالَ اتِّبَاعُ السُّلْطَانِ فَإِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ عَلَى دِينِكُمْ .

علی نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے نوفلی سے، انہوں نے سکونی سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے فرمایا: 'فقہاء رسولوں کے امین ہیں جب تک وہ دنیا میں داخل نہ ہوں۔' عرض کیا گیا: 'یا رسول اللہ! دنیا میں ان کا داخل ہونا کیا ہے؟' آپ نے فرمایا: 'سلطان کی پیروی کرنا۔ پس جب وہ ایسا کریں تو اپنے دین کے بارے میں ان سے ہوشیار رہو۔'
Translation
Ali, from his father, from Al Nowfal, from Al Sakuny, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The understanding ones (الْفُقَهَاءُ) are the trustees of the Rasools<sup>as</sup> for as long as they do not enter into the (matters of the) world’. It was said, ‘O Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup>! And what is their entering into the world?’ He<sup>as</sup> said: ‘Following the ruling authority. So when they do that, then be cautious of them upon your Religion'.
