Translation

A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Ismail who said, ‘I heard Al-Rezaasws saying: ‘The endive is a healing from a thousand illnesses. There is none from an illness in the inside of a son of Adamas except that the endive suppresses it’. He (the narrator) said, ‘And one day heasws called for it for one of the servants, and the fever had seized him, and the headache. So heasws ordered that it (endive) should be pounded and rendered upon a paper, and the viola oil be poured over it, and for it to be placed upon his forehead. Then heasws said: ‘But, it removes the fever and benefits from the headache, and eleminates it’.
