قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) كُلُوا الْهِنْدَبَاءَ فَمَا مِنْ صَبَاحٍ إِلَّا وَ تَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهَا قَطْرَةٌ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فَإِذَا أَكَلْتُمُوهَا فَلَا تَنْفُضُوهَا قَالَ وَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) كَانَ أَبِي ( عليه السلام ) يَنْهَانَا أَنْ نَنْفُضَهَا إِذَا أَكَلْنَاهَا .
Translation
From him, from one of our companions, from Al Samma, from Shuayb, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Eat the endive, for there is none from the mornings except that there descends upon it a drop from the Paradise. So when you eat it, so do not shake it off’. He (the narrator) said: ‘And Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘My<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> forbade us<sup>asws</sup> from shaking it whenever we<sup>asws</sup> ate it’.
