كَانَ فِيمَا أَوْصَى بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) عَلِيّاً ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَهُ يَا عَلِيُّ عَلَيْكَ بِالدُّبَّاءِ فَكُلْهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَزِيدُ فِي الدِّمَاغِ وَ الْعَقْلِ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from his father, from oe of our companions, (It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan Musa<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Among what Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> bequeathed to Ali<sup>asws</sup> with was that he<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘O Ali<sup>asws</sup>! It is upon you<sup>asws</sup> with (eating) the gourd. Therefore eat it, for it increases the mind and the intellect’.
