قَالَ الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ ( عليه السلام ) عَلَيْكَ بِاللِّفْتِ فَكُلْهُ يَعْنِي السَّلْجَمَ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَ لَهُ عِرْقٌ مِنَ الْجُذَامِ وَ اللِّفْتُ يُذِيبُهُ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Abdullah Bin Ja’far, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ali Bin Al Musayyab who said, ‘Al-Abd Al-Salih<sup>asws</sup> (7th Imam<sup>asws</sup>) said: ‘It is upon you with (eating) <span class="iTxt">Al-Lafti</span> (a turnip dish), so eat it, meaning the turnip, for there is no one except for him is a vein for the leprosy, and <span class="iTxt">Al-Lafti</span> removes it’.
