John Shaqi

قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الثَّالِثِ ( عليه السلام ) لِبَعْضِ قَهَارِمَتِهِ اسْتَكْثِرُوا لَنَا مِنَ الْبَاذَنْجَانِ فَإِنَّهُ حَارٌّ فِي وَقْتِ الْحَرَارَةِ وَ بَارِدٌ فِي وَقْتِ الْبُرُودَةِ مُعْتَدِلٌ فِي الْأَوْقَاتِ كُلِّهَا جَيِّدٌ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ.


Translation

A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from one of our companions who said, ‘Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> the 3rd said to one of his<sup>asws</sup> workers: ‘Frequent for us from the aubergines, for it is hot during the time of heat, and cool in the times of coldness, being moderate in all of the times, good upon every state’.
