John Shaqi

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ كُلُوا الْبَصَلَ فَإِنَّ فِيهِ ثَلَاثَ خِصَالٍ يُطَيِّبُ النَّكْهَةَ وَ يَشُدُّ اللِّثَةَ وَ يَزِيدُ فِي الْمَاءِ وَ الْجِمَاعِ .


Translation

Ali Bin Muhammad Bin Bundar, from his father, from Muhammad Bin Ali Al hamdany, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Al Kaslaan, from Maysar Baya’a the Zaty, and he was his maternal uncle who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘Eat the onion for therein are three qualities – It aromatises the breath, and strengthens the gums, and increases in the water and the copulation’.
