سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ أَكْلِ الثُّومِ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) عَنْهُ لِرِيحِهِ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَكَلَ هَذِهِ الْبَقْلَةَ الْخَبِيثَةَ فَلَا يَقْرَبْ مَسْجِدَنَا فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَكَلَهُ وَ لَمْ يَأْتِ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلَا بَأْسَ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Umar Bin Azina, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about eating the garlic, so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘But rather Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> forbade from it due to its smell, so he<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The one who eats this bad vegetable, so he should not go near our Masjids. So as for the one who eats it and does not come to the Masjid, so there is no problem’.
