سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ طَعْمِ الْمَاءِ فَقَالَ سَلْ تَفَقُّهاً وَ لَا تَسْأَلْ تَعَنُّتاً طَعْمُ الْمَاءِ طَعْمُ الْحَيَاةِ .

ایک آدمی نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے پانی کے ذائقے کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ نے فرمایا: سمجھنے کے لیے پوچھو، اور تنگ کرنے کے لیے نہ پوچھو۔ پانی کا ذائقہ زندگی کا ذائقہ ہے۔
Translation
Ahmad Bin Muhammad Al Kufy, from Ali Bin Al Hassan Maysami, from Ali Bin Asbaat, from Abdul Samad Bin Bundar, from Al Husayn Bin Alwan who said, ‘A man asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the taste of water, so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Ask to understand it and do not ask to irritate. The taste of water is the taste of life’.
