قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ بَعْدَ مَا حَرَّمَهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ عَلَى لِسَانِي فَلَيْسَ بِأَهْلٍ أَنْ يُزَوَّجَ إِذَا خَطَبَ وَ لَا يُشَفَّعَ إِذَا شَفَعَ وَ لَا يُصَدَّقَ إِذَا حَدَّثَ وَ لَا يُؤْتَمَنَ عَلَى أَمَانَةٍ فَمَنِ ائْتَمَنَهُ بَعْدَ عِلْمِهِ فِيهِ فَلَيْسَ لِلَّذِي ائْتَمَنَهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ضَمَانٌ وَ لَا لَهُ أَجْرٌ وَ لَا خَلَفٌ .
Translation
Ibn Mahboub, from Khalid Bin Jareer, from Abu Al Rabie Al Shamy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The one who drinks the wine after Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic having Prohibited it upon my<sup>saww</sup> tongue, so he is not deserving of being married to when he proposes, nor for him to be interceded for when there is intercession, nor should he be ratified when he narrates, nor relied upon an entrustment. So the one who relies upon him after having his knowledge with regards to it, so it is not for those who rely upon him, any guarantee (of security) upon Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic, nor would there be any Rewards for him, nor a compensation’.
