قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) الْمَوْلُودُ يُولَدُ فَنَسْقِيهِ مِنَ الْخَمْرِ فَقَالَ مَنْ سَقَى مَوْلُوداً خَمْراً أَوْ قَالَ مُسْكِراً سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مِنَ الْحَمِيمِ وَ إِنْ غَفَرَ لَهُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, form Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Fazalat Bin Ayoub, from Bashir Al Huzalay, from Ajlan Abu Salih who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The child is born so (if) we quench it from the wine’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Whoever quenches a newborn with wine’, or said: ‘intoxicant’, ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic would Quench him from the scalding water, even though He<sup>azwj</sup> may have Forgiven him’.
