كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) أَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ شَارِبِ الْمُسْكِرِ قَالَ فَكَتَبَ ( عليه السلام ) شَارِبُ الْخَمْرِ كَافِرٌ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad and Yaqoub Bin Yazeed, from Muhammad Bin Dazawayi who said, ‘I wrote to Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup>, asking him<sup>asws</sup> about the wine drinker. So he<sup>asws</sup> wrote: ‘The wine drinker is an Infidel’.
