سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قَالَ مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ كَعَابِدِ وَثَنٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ وَ مَا الْمُدْمِنُ قَالَ الَّذِي إِذَا وَجَدَهَا شَرِبَهَا .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Yunus, from Hammad, from Abu Al Jaroud who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘My<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> narrated to me<sup>asws</sup>, from his<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> that Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The habitual (drinker of) the wine is like an idol worshipper’. I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘And what is the habitual?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The one who, whenever he finds it, drinks it’.
