سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ التَّمْرِ وَ الزَّبِيبِ يُطْبَخَانِ لِلنَّبِيذِ فَقَالَ لَا وَ قَالَ كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ وَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) كُلُّ مَا أَسْكَرَ كَثِيرُهُ فَقَلِيلُهُ حَرَامٌ وَ قَالَ لَا يَصْلُحُ فِي النَّبِيذِ الْخَمِيرَةُ وَ هِيَ الْعَكَرَةُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from Usman Bin Isa, from Sama’at who said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about the dates and the raising both being cooked for <span class="iTxt">Al-Nabeez</span>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Every intoxicant is Prohibited’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘Everything which the more of it intoxicates, so the less of it is Prohibited’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It is not correct regarding <span class="iTxt">Al-Nabeez</span>, the yeast, and it is the turbid’.
