قُلْتُ لِأَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) مَا تَقُولُ فِي شُرْبِ الْفُقَّاعِ فَقَالَ خَمْرٌ مَجْهُولٌ يَا سُلَيْمَانُ فَلَا تَشْرَبْهُ أَمَا إِنَّهُ يَا سُلَيْمَانُ لَوْ كَانَ الْحُكْمُ لِي وَ الدَّارُ لِي لَجَلَدْتُ شَارِبَهُ وَ لَقَتَلْتُ بَائِعَهُ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya and someone else, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, from Ahmad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Suleyman Bin Ja’far who said, ‘I said to Abu Al-Hassan Reza<sup>asws</sup>, ‘What are you<sup>asws</sup> saying regarding the fermented drink?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘An unknown wine, O Suleyman, therefore do not drink it. But, O Suleyman, had the rule been mine<sup>asws</sup>, and the house were mine, I<sup>asws</sup> would whip its drinker and kill its seller’.
