وَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ خَرَجَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) وَ هُوَ رَاكِبٌ فَمَشَوْا مَعَهُ فَقَالَ أَ لَكُمْ حَاجَةٌ قَالُوا لَا وَ لَكِنَّا نُحِبُّ أَنْ نَمْشِيَ مَعَكَ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ انْصَرِفُوا فَإِنَّ مَشْيَ الْمَاشِي مَعَ الرَّاكِبِ مَفْسَدَةٌ لِلرَّاكِبِ وَ مَذَلَّةٌ لِلْمَاشِي .
Translation
And by his chain, said, ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> went out and he<sup>asws</sup> was riding, so they (people) walked along with him<sup>asws</sup>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Is there any need for you (to be fulfilled)?’ They said, ‘No, but we love it that we should be walking along with you<sup>asws</sup>’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Disperse, for the walking of the walker with the rider is a spoiler for the rider, and a humiliation for the walker’.
