إِنَّ أَصْلَ حَمَامِ الْحَرَمِ بَقِيَّةُ حَمَامٍ كَانَ لِإِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ( عليه السلام ) اتَّخَذَهَا كَانَ يَأْنَسُ بِهَا فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يُسْتَحَبُّ أَنْ تَتَّخِذَ طَيْراً مَقْصُوصاً تَأْنَسُ بِهِ مَخَافَةَ الْهَوَامِّ .

علی ابن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے ابن ابی عمیر سے، انہوں نے حفص ابن البختری سے، انہوں نے ابو عبداللہ (علیہ السلام) سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: حرم کے کبوتروں کی اصل اسماعیل ابن ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کے کبوتروں کی باقی ماندہ نسل ہے — آپ نے انہیں پالا تھا اور ان سے انس رکھتے تھے۔ پھر ابو عبداللہ (علیہ السلام) نے فرمایا: مستحب ہے کہ تم ایک ایسا پرندہ رکھو جس کے پر کاٹے ہوئے ہوں تاکہ اس سے انس حاصل کرو، کیڑے مکوڑوں کے ڈر سے۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, form Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hafs Bin Al Bakhtary, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The original pigeon of the Sanctuary of the rest of the pigeons was for Ismail<sup>as</sup> Bin Ibrahim<sup>as</sup>. He<sup>as</sup> took it as he<sup>as</sup> was comfortable with it’. So Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It is recommended for you to take a clipped bird to be comfortable with it, if fear of the vermin’.
