لَيْسَ مِنْ بَيْتٍ فِيهِ حَمَامٌ إِلَّا لَمْ يُصِبْ أَهْلَ ذَلِكَ الْبَيْتِ آفَةٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ إِنَّ سُفَهَاءَ الْجِنِّ يَعْبَثُونَ فِي الْبَيْتِ فَيَعْبَثُونَ بِالْحَمَامِ وَ يَتْرُكُونَ الْإِنْسَانَ .

علی ابن محمد نے صالح ابن ابی حماد اور حسین ابن محمد سے، انہوں نے معلّی ابن محمد سے، سب نے الوشاء سے، انہوں نے احمد ابن عائذ سے، انہوں نے ابو خدیجہ سے، انہوں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپؑ نے فرمایا: کوئی ایسا گھر نہیں ہے جس میں کبوتر ہو، مگر اس گھر کے رہنے والوں کو جنات کی طرف سے کوئی آفت نہیں پہنچتی۔ بے شک جنات کے بے وقوف (افراد) گھر میں فساد کرتے ہیں، پھر وہ کبوتروں کے ساتھ کھلواڑ کرتے ہیں اور انسان کو چھوڑ دیتے ہیں۔
Translation
Ali Bin Muhammad, from Salih Bin Abu Hammad and Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moala Bin Muhammad, altogether, from Al Washa, from Ahmad Bin A’aiz, from Abu Khadeeja, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘There is none from the house wherein is a pigeon, except that the inhabitants of that house would not be hit by an affliction from the Jinn. The foolish ones from the Jinn tend to tamper in the house, so they would be tampering with the pigeons and they would be neglecting the human beings’.
