سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى يا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا شَهادَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ حِينَ الْوَصِيَّةِ اثْنانِ ذَوا عَدْلٍ مِنْكُمْ أَوْ آخَرانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ قُلْتُ مَا آخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ قَالَ هُمَا كَافِرَانِ قُلْتُ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِنْكُمْ فَقَالَ مُسْلِمَانِ .

میں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ کے قول کے بارے میں پوچھا: 'اے ایمان والو! جب تم میں سے کسی کو موت آنے والی ہو، وصیت کے وقت، تمہارے درمیان گواہی تم میں سے دو عادل افراد کی ہو، یا تمہارے غیر میں سے دو دوسرے افراد کی' [5:106]۔ میں نے کہا، 'تمہارے غیر میں سے دو دوسرے کیا ہیں؟' انہوں نے فرمایا، 'وہ دونوں کافر ہیں۔' میں نے کہا، 'تم میں سے دو عادل افراد؟' تو انہوں نے فرمایا، 'دو مسلمان۔'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Muhammad Bin Al Fuzayl, from Abu Al Sabah Al Kinany who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Blessed and High <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:5#h106"><a href="/books/quran:5#h106">[5:106]</a></a> O you who believe! Call to witness between you when death approaches one of you, at the time of making the will, two just persons from among you, or two others from among others than you</span>. I said, ‘What are <span class="ibTxt">two others from among others than you</span>?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘These two are Infidels’. I said, ‘<span class="ibTxt">two just persons from among you</span>?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Muslims’.
