مَنْ أَوْصَى بِالثُّلُثِ فَقَدْ أَضَرَّ بِالْوَرَثَةِ وَ الْوَصِيَّةُ بِالْخُمُسِ وَ الرُّبُعِ أَفْضَلُ مِنَ الْوَصِيَّةِ بِالثُّلُثِ وَ مَنْ أَوْصَى بِالثُّلُثِ فَلَمْ يَتَّرِكْ .

حسین بن محمد، معلی بن محمد سے، اور محمد بن یحییٰ، احمد بن محمد سے — دونوں مل کر — وشاء سے، حماد بن عثمان سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے، انہوں نے فرمایا: جو شخص ایک تہائی کی وصیت کرے تو اس نے وارثوں کو نقصان پہنچایا؛ اور پانچویں اور چوتھائی کی وصیت تہائی کی وصیت سے بہتر ہے؛ اور جو شخص تہائی کی وصیت کرے تو اس نے کچھ نہیں چھوڑا۔
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moala Bin Muhammad, and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, both together, from Al Washa, from Hamaad Bin Usman, Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> has said: ‘The one who bequeaths with a third, so he has harmed the inheritors, and the bequeathing with a fifth and the fourth is better than the bequeathing with the third; and the one who bequeaths with a third, so he has not left out anything’.
