Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from his father, from Abdullah Bin Al Mugheira, from Abdul Rahman Al Khash’amy who said, ‘I differed with Ibn Abu Layli with regards to inheritance for us in order to distribute it, and there was in it a withheld asset, and it had been handed over to me. So when the matter prolonged, I complained to Abu Abdullahasws. So heasws said: ‘Or does he not know that Rasool-Allahsaww ordered with the return of a withheld asset and enforcement of the inheritance?’ He (the narrator) said, ‘So I went over to him, and he did just as he had done. So I said to him, ‘I complained to Ja’farasws Bin Muhammadasws, so heasws said to me such and such’. He said, ‘So Ibn Abu Layli made me swear an oath that heasws had indeed said that’. So I swore an oath to him, so he judged for me with that’.
