سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) عَمَّا يَقُولُ النَّاسُ فِي الْوَصِيَّةِ بِالثُّلُثِ وَ الرُّبُعِ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ أَ شَيْءٌ صَحِيحٌ مَعْرُوفٌ أَمْ كَيْفَ صَنَعَ أَبُوكَ فَقَالَ الثُّلُثَ ذَلِكَ الْأَمْرُ الَّذِي صَنَعَ أَبِي رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ .
Translation
Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar and Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, altogether from Safwan, from Abdul Rahman Bin Al Hajjaj who said, ‘I asked Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> about what the people are saying regard the bequeathing with the third and the fourth during death. Which thing is correct, good, or how did your<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> do it?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The third is the Command which my<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> made it to be. May Allah<sup>azwj</sup> have Mercy upon him<sup>asws</sup>’.
