Al-Kafi 13267

Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Abdul Rahman Bin Al Hajjaj, from Khalid Bin Bakeyr al Taweel who said, ‘My father called over when the death presented itself to him, so he said, ‘O my son! Take hold of the wealth of your younger brothers, so do some business with it and take half the profits (for yourself) and give them the (other) half. And the guaranteeing is not upon you’. So the mother who gave birth for his father, after the death of my father, took me to Ibn Abu Layli, so she said to him, ‘This one is eating the wealth of my son’. So I related the story of what I had been ordered with by my father. So Ibn Abu Layli said, ‘If the father has ordered you with the falsehood, I would not allow it’. Then Ibn Abu Layli established a witness upon me that if I were to move it, so I would be held responsible for it’. So I came up to Abu Abdullah^asws afterwards, so I related to him^asws my story, then I said to him^asws, ‘What do you^asws see?’ So he^asws said: ‘As for the words of Ibn Abu layli, so I have no leeway of rejecting it, and as for what is in between you and Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic, so there is no responsibility upon you’.
