رَجُلٍ تُوُفِّيَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِامْرَأَتِهِ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ فَرَضَ لَهَا مَهْراً فَلَهَا النِّصْفُ وَ هِيَ تَرِثُهُ وَ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فَرَضَ لَهَا مَهْراً فَلَا مَهْرَ لَهَا وَ هُوَ يَرِثُهَا .
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moala Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Ali, from Aban Bin Usman, from Ibn Abu Yafour, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding a man who died before having gone to bed with his wife. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If the dower was assigned for her, so for her is the half (of it), and she would inherit him. And if a dower was not assigned to her, so there is no dower for her, and he would inherit her’.
