John Shaqi

عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ وَ لَهُ أُمٌّ نَصْرَانِيَّةٌ وَ لِلْعَبْدِ ابْنٌ حُرٌّ قِيلَ أَ رَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَاتَتْ أُمُّ الْعَبْدِ وَ تَرَكَتْ مَالًا قَالَ يَرِثُهُ ابْنُ ابْنِهَا الْحُرُّ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassa Bin Mahboub, from Abu Ayoub, from Mahzam, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding a Muslim slave, and for him is a Christian mother, and for the slave is a free son. It was said, ‘What is your<sup>asws</sup> view if the mother of the slave dies and leaves wealth?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It would be inherited by the son of her son, the free (grandson)’.
