يُضْرَبُ الرَّجُلُ الْحَدَّ قَائِماً وَ الْمَرْأَةُ قَاعِدَةً وَ يُضْرَبُ كُلُّ عُضْوٍ وَ يُتْرَكُ الرَّأْسُ وَ الْمَذَاكِيرُ .

محمد بن یحیی نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے علی بن الحکم سے، انہوں نے ابان سے، انہوں نے زرارہ سے، انہوں نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: مرد کو حد کھڑے ہوکر لگائی جائے گی اور عورت کو بیٹھ کر؛ اور ہر عضو پر مارا جائے گا، لیکن سر اور شرم گاہ کو چھوڑ دیا جائے گا۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, form Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Aban, from Zurara, Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> has said: ‘The man would be whipped by the Penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>) while standing, and the woman whilst seated, and every body part can be whipped except for the head and the sexual parts’.
