John Shaqi

قَالَ إِنَّ عَلِيّاً ( عليه السلام ) كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ سَكِرَ وَ إِذَا سَكِرَ هَذَى وَ إِذَا هَذَى افْتَرَى فَاجْلِدُوهُ حَدَّ الْمُفْتَرِي .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Yunus, from Zurara, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Ali<sup>asws</sup> was saying that the man, when he drinks the wine, gets intoxicated, and when he is intoxicated, raves, and when he raves, he fabricates, therefore he would be whipped a Penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>) of the fabricator’.
