السَّارِقُ إِذَا جَاءَ مِنْ قِبَلِ نَفْسِهِ تَائِباً إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ رَدَّ سَرِقَتَهُ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا فَلَا قَطْعَ عَلَيْهِ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Mahboub, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The thief, when he comes from his own self, repentant to Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic, and returns the stolen goods to its owner, so there is not cutting (of the hand) upon him’.
