إِنْ كَانَ طَرَّ مِنْ قَمِيصِهِ الْأَعْلَى لَمْ نَقْطَعْهُ وَ إِنْ كَانَ طَرَّ مِنْ قَمِيصِهِ الْأَسْفَلِ قَطَعْنَاهُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Al Hassan Bin Shamoun, from Abdullah Bin Abdul Rahman, from Misma’a Abu Sayyar, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> that Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup>, they came to him<sup>asws</sup> with a pick-pocket who had picked some Dirhams from the sleeve of a man. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If he has picked it from his outer shirt, we<sup>asws</sup> will not cut him; and if he has stolen from his inner shirt, we<sup>asws</sup> would cut him’.
