سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْمَمْلُوكِ يَفْتَرِي عَلَى الْحُرِّ قَالَ يُجْلَدُ ثَمَانِينَ قُلْتُ فَإِنَّهُ زَنَى قَالَ يُجْلَدُ خَمْسِينَ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Usman Bin Isa, from Sama’at who said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about the slave who fabricates upon the free. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He would be whipped eighty (lashes)’. I said, ‘So if it was adultery?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘he would be whipped fifty (lashes)’.
