قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) كَانَتْ لِي جَارِيَةٌ فَزَنَتْ أَحُدُّهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ وَ لَكِنْ لَيَكُونُ ذَلِكَ فِي سِرٍّ لِحَالِ السُّلْطَانِ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Ibn Bukeyr, from Anbasat Bin Mus’ab Al Aabid who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘There was a slave girl for me, so she commited adultery. Shall I (apply the) Penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>) on her?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes, but that should happen in secret, due to the state of the authorities’.
