كَانَ يَرِدُ كِتَابُ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ ( عليه السلام ) فِي الْإِجْرَاءِ عَلَى الْجُنَيْدِ قَاتِلِ فَارِسَ وَ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ وَ آخَرَ فَلَمَّا مَضَى أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ ( عليه السلام ) وَرَدَ اسْتِئْنَافٌ مِنَ الصَّاحِبِ لِإِجْرَاءِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ وَ صَاحِبِهِ وَ لَمْ يَرِدْ فِي أَمْرِ الْجُنَيْدِ بِشَيْءٍ قَالَ فَاغْتَمَمْتُ لِذَلِكَ فَوَرَدَ نَعْيُ الْجُنَيْدِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ .

الحسین بن محمد الاشعری نے کہا: ابو محمد (عليه السلام) کا خط جنید، فارس کے قاتل، ابو الحسن اور ایک دوسرے کے وظیفے کے بارے میں آیا کرتا تھا۔ پس جب ابو محمد (عليه السلام) وفات پا گئے تو صاحب کی طرف سے ابو الحسن اور اس کے ساتھی کے وظیفے کے بارے میں دوبارہ حکم آیا، اور جنید کے معاملے کے بارے میں کچھ نہ آیا۔ انہوں نے کہا: اس وجہ سے میں غمگین ہوا، پھر اس کے بعد جنید کی موت کی خبر آ گئی۔
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad Al Ashary who said, ‘It was so that the letter of Abu Muhammad<sup>asws</sup> (11<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>) came regarding the procedure upon Al-Junayd, killer of Faris, and Abu Al-Hassan and others. So when Abu Muhammad<sup>asws</sup> passed away, the coming of the letters resumed of the procedure of Abu Al-Hassan and his companions, and there was no referral of the matter of Al-Junayd with anything. So I was gloomy due to that, and there came the news of death of Al-Juneyd after that’.
