John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ يَنْتَفِي مِنْ وَلَدِهِ وَ قَدْ أَقَرَّ بِهِ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ الْوَلَدُ مِنْ حُرَّةٍ جُلِدَ الْحَدَّ خَمْسِينَ سَوْطاً حَدَّ الْمَمْلُوكِ وَ إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَمَةٍ فَلَا شَيْ‏ءَ عَلَيْهِ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin yahya, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Al A’la Bin Al Fuzayl, (The narrator) says, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The man denies from his child, and he had previously acknowledge with it. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If the child was from a free woman, he would be whipped the Penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>) of fifty lashes, a Penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>) of the owned (slaves), and if it was from a slave girl, so there is nothing upon him’.
