John Shaqi

إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ مَعَهُ قَدْرُ مِحْجَمَةٍ مِنْ دَمٍ فَيَقُولُ وَ اللَّهِ مَا قَتَلْتُ وَ لَا شَرِكْتُ فِي دَمٍ قَالَ بَلَى ذَكَرْتَ عَبْدِي فُلَاناً فَتَرَقَّى ذَلِكَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ فَأَصَابَكَ مِنْ دَمِهِ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Al A’ala Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said that the man would be brought on the Day of Judgement, and on him would be the (minimum amount of) blood - of the measurement of a cup, so he would be saying, ‘By Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! I did not kill, nor did I participate in (shedding of his) blood!’ He<sup>azwj</sup> would Say: “Yes (you did)! You mentioned My<sup>azwj</sup> so and so servant, so that led to him being killed, therefore you are responsible for his blood (shedding)”’.
