رَجُلٍ قَتَلَ رَجُلًا مُؤْمِناً قَالَ يُقَالُ لَهُ مُتْ أَيَّ مِيتَةٍ شِئْتَ إِنْ شِئْتَ يَهُودِيّاً وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ نَصْرَانِيّاً وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ مَجُوسِيّاً .

علی نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے ابن ابی عمیر سے، انہوں نے سعید الازرق سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے ایک مومن کے قاتل کے بارے میں کہ آپ نے فرمایا: اسے کہا جائے گا: جس طرح چاہو مرو — اگر چاہو تو یہودی کی موت مرو، اگر چاہو تو نصرانی کی موت مرو، اور اگر چاہو تو مجوسی کی موت مرو۔
Translation
Ali, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Saeed Al Arzaq, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding a man who killed a Believing man. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It would be said to him: ‘Die whichever death you like – if you so like, as a Jew, and if you so like, as a Christian, and if you so like, as a Magian!’.
