رَجُلٍ ضَرَبَ رَجُلًا بِعَصاً فَلَمْ يَرْفَعِ الْعَصَا حَتَّى مَاتَ قَالَ يُدْفَعُ إِلَى أَوْلِيَاءِ الْمَقْتُولِ وَ لَكِنْ لَا يُتْرَكُ يُتَلَذَّذُ بِهِ وَ لَكِنْ يُجَازُ عَلَيْهِ بِالسَّيْفِ .

سہل بن زیاد نے احمد بن محمد بن ابی نصر سے، انہوں نے موسیٰ بن بکر سے، انہوں نے عبد صالح علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، اس بارے میں کہ ایک ایسے شخص کے بارے میں جس نے کسی کو لاٹھی سے مارا اور لاٹھی نہ اٹھائی یہاں تک کہ وہ مر گیا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اسے مقتول کے اولیاء کے حوالے کیا جائے گا، لیکن انہیں یہ نہ چھوڑا جائے کہ وہ اس سے لذت اٹھائیں، بلکہ اس پر تلوار سے قصاص لیا جائے گا۔
Translation
Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu nasr, from Musa Bin Bakr, (It has been narrated) from Abd Salih<sup>asws</sup> (7<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>), regarding a man who struck a man with a stick, so he did not raise the stick (stop) until he died. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He would be handed over to the guardian of the killed one, but he should not be left to enjoy the pleasure of it, but the sword should be allowed upon him’.
