سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ الِاثْنَا عَشَرَ الْإِمَامَ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كُلُّهُمْ مُحَدَّثٌ مِنْ وُلْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) وَ وُلْدِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ( عليه السلام ) فَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) وَ عَلِيٌّ ( عليه السلام ) هُمَا الْوَالِدَانِ .

ابو علی اشعری، الحسن بن عبید اللہ سے، وہ الحسن بن موسیٰ الخشاب سے، وہ علی بن سماعہ سے، وہ علی بن الحسن بن رباط سے، وہ ابن اذینہ سے، وہ زرارہ سے، جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو جعفر (عليه السلام) کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: آلِ محمد کے بارہ امام، سب کے سب مُحدَّث ہیں، رسول اللہ (صلى الله عليه وآله) کی اولاد سے اور علی بن ابی طالب (عليه السلام) کی اولاد سے ہیں۔ پس رسول اللہ (صلى الله عليه وآله) اور علی (عليه السلام) دونوں والدین ہیں۔
Translation
Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Al Hassan Bin Ubeydullah, from Al Hassan Bin Musa Al Khashhab, from Ali Bin Sama’at, from Ali Bin Al Hassan Bin Rabat, from Ibn Azina, from Zurara who said, ‘I heard Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘The twelve Imams<sup>asws</sup> from the Progeny<sup>asws</sup> of Muhammad<sup>saww</sup>, all of them<sup>asws</sup> are <span class="iTxt">Muhaddath</span> (Whom the Angels discuss with) from the children of Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> and children of Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Abu Talib<sup>asws</sup>. Thus, Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> and Ali<sup>asws</sup>, they<sup>asws</sup> are the two parents<sup>asws</sup>’.
