قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ الْإِمَامَ يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى مَا فِي أَيْدِي النَّاسِ فَهُوَ كَافِرٌ إِنَّمَا النَّاسُ يَحْتَاجُونَ أَنْ يَقْبَلَ مِنْهُمُ الْإِمَامُ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوالِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَ تُزَكِّيهِمْ بِها .

الحسین بن محمد بن عامر نے اپنی سند کے ساتھ اسے مرفوعاً نقل کیا اور کہا: ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: جو شخص یہ گمان کرے کہ امام کو لوگوں کے ہاتھوں میں موجود چیزوں کی حاجت ہے، وہ کافر ہے۔ درحقیقت لوگوں کو اس بات کی حاجت ہے کہ امام ان سے قبول کرے۔ اللہ عز و جل نے فرمایا: “ان کے مالوں میں سے صدقہ لے، تاکہ تو انہیں پاک کرے اور اس کے ذریعے انہیں تزکیہ دے۔”
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad Bin Aamir, by his chain, raising it, said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The one who alleges that the Imam<sup>asws</sup> is needy to whatever is in the hands of the people, so he is a disbeliever. But rather, the people are needy that the Imam<sup>asws</sup> should be accepting from them. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Says <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:9#h103"><a href="/books/quran:9#h103">[9:103]</a></a> Take charity out from their wealth, you would cleanse them and purify them thereby</span>’.
