سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِنِّي لآَخُذُ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمُ الدِّرْهَمَ وَ إِنِّي لَمِنْ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مَالًا مَا أُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ إِلَّا أَنْ تُطَهَّرُوا .

محمد بن یحییٰ، احمد بن محمد سے، ابن فضّال سے، ابن بکیر سے، جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابوعبداللہ علیہ السلام کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: “بے شک میں تم میں سے ایک سے درہم لیتا ہوں، حالانکہ میں مال و متاع کے اعتبار سے اہلِ مدینہ میں سب سے زیادہ مالداروں میں سے ہوں۔ میں اس سے صرف یہ چاہتا ہوں کہ تم پاکیزہ ہو جاؤ۔”
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Fazzal, from Ibn Bukeyr who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘I<sup>asws</sup> take the Dirham from one of you although I<sup>asws</sup> am of the ones with a lot of wealth from the people of Al-Median, I<sup>asws</sup> do not intend by that except that you all get purified’.
