سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قُتِلَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ أَوْ قَرِيبٍ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ وَ لَمْ تُوجَدْ بَيِّنَةٌ عَلَى أَهْلِ تِلْكَ الْقَرْيَةِ أَنَّهُ قُتِلَ عِنْدَهُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِمْ شَيْءٌ .
Translation
Ali, from his father, from one of his companions, from Aasim Bin Humeyd, from Muhammad Bin Qays who said, ‘I heard Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘If a man is killed in a town, or near to the town, and no evidence is found upon the people of that town that he was killed in their presence, so there would not be anything upon them’.
