اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ لا يَأْبَ الشُّهَداءُ إِذا ما دُعُوا فَقَالَ لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ إِذَا دُعِيَ إِلَى شَهَادَةٍ يَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهَا أَنْ يَقُولَ لَا أَشْهَدُ لَكُمْ . عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مِثْلَهُ وَ قَالَ فَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ الْكِتَابِ .

(اللہ عزوجل کے قول کے بارے میں:) 'اور گواہوں کو انکار نہیں کرنا چاہیے جب وہ بلائے جائیں' — پس آپ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'کسی کے لیے مناسب نہیں جب اسے اس گواہی کے لیے بلایا جائے جو اس نے دی ہو، کہ وہ کہے: میں تمہارے لیے گواہی نہیں دوں گا۔' علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے ابن ابی عمیر سے، انہوں نے حماد بن عثمان سے، انہوں نے حلبی سے، انہوں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے اسی طرح، اور فرمایا: 'تو وہ لکھنے سے پہلے کا مرحلہ ہے۔'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Al Fuzayl, from Abu Al Sabbah Al Kinany, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h282"><a href="/books/quran:2#h282">[2:282]</a></a> and the witnesses should not refuse when they are summoned</span>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It is not befitting for anyone when he is summoned to testify upon what he had witnessed, that he should be saying, ‘I shall not testify for you’. Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad Bin Usman, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, similar to it, and said: ‘So that is before the writing (documenting)’.
