إِذَا سَمِعَ الرَّجُلُ الشَّهَادَةَ وَ لَمْ يُشْهَدْ عَلَيْهَا فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ إِنْ شَاءَ شَهِدَ وَ إِنْ شَاءَ سَكَتَ .

جب کوئی آدمی گواہی سنے اور اسے اس پر گواہ نہ بنایا گیا ہو، تو وہ اختیار میں ہے: اگر چاہے تو گواہی دے اور اگر چاہے تو خاموش رہے۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Al A’la Bin Razeyn, form Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘When a man hears the testimony, and he was not a witness upon it, so he is with the choice, if he so desires to he testifies, and if he so desires to, he remains silent’.
