قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَجِيئُنِي الْقَوْمُ فَيَسْتَمِعُونَ مِنِّي حَدِيثَكُمْ فَأَضْجَرُ وَ لَا أَقْوَى قَالَ فَاقْرَأْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ حَدِيثاً وَ مِنْ وَسَطِهِ حَدِيثاً وَ مِنْ آخِرِهِ حَدِيثاً .

میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے عرض کیا: میرے پاس لوگ آتے ہیں اور آپ کی احادیث مجھ سے سننا چاہتے ہیں، تو میں تھک جاتا ہوں اور طاقت نہیں رہتی۔ آپ نے فرمایا: تو ان کے سامنے اس کے آغاز سے ایک حدیث، درمیان سے ایک حدیث، اور آخر سے ایک حدیث پڑھو۔
Translation
And from him, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad and Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Ibn Mahboub, from Abdullah Bin Sinan who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The group of people come to me, so they want to hear your<sup>asws</sup> Ahadeeth from me, so I get tired and am not strong’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘So read a Hadeeth upon them from its beginning, and a Hadeeth from its middle, and a Hadeeth from its end’.
