سَأَلْتُهُ هَلْ يَصْلُحُ لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يُحْلِفَ أَحَداً مِنَ الْيَهُودِ وَ النَّصَارَى وَ الْمَجُوسِ بِآلِهَتِهِمْ قَالَ لَا يَصْلُحُ لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يُحْلِفَ أَحَداً إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Usman Bin Isa, from Sama’at, Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, replied when ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘Is it correct for anyone that he should get to swear anyone from the Jews, and the Christians, and the Magians, by their gods?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said; ‘No! It is not correct for anyone that he should swear except by Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic’.
